Each year CITC (Construction Industry Training Council) and the major sponsor NRMA Insurance hold the awards ceremony and present a range of Awards which recognise excellence and the achievements of apprentices and cadets across all aspects of construction. As well as industry encouragement awards, there are the winners of each trade category as well as one overall Apprentice of the Year.
This year Manteena had 3 nominees in the Commercial/Residential Cadet category. We are very proud of the fact that all three of our nominees received an award. Frank Caridi took out the Outstanding Commercial/Residential cadet category with Luka Manenica and Sean Hague receiving Merit Awards.

Manteena has a strong history with these Awards which we believe is the result of the foundations we lay for the cadets during their training, where they are supported to take on the challenges of developing their project management skills. We take pride in the fact that ‘our’ cadets are so highly thought of within the industry as well as the fact that in a relatively short period of time these cadets are able to confidently and professionally manage projects in their own right.
Manteena is a strong supporter of learning within the industry, and recognise this as an important strategy to developing and strengthening the construction industry. We take pride in the standards our cadets achieve which not only is a benefit to Manteena but also to the industry as a whole.
