Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mentoring partnership |

Manteena and the Tuggeranong Sustainable Living Trade Training Centre (Tuggeranong Trade School) have joined together to develop and implement an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mentoring partnership. This partnership will assist students and their communities in gaining a greater understanding of the construction industry.

The inaugural meeting was held with Mr Simon Butt, CEO, Manteena; Mr Rod Mitton, Director, Manteena; Ms Helen Witcombe, Manager/Deputy Principal, Tuggeranong Sustainable Living Trade Training Centre (TSLTTC); Ms Joanna Hopman, Vocational Teacher, Alfred Deakin High School, Mr Phil Styles, Professional photographer Lake Tuggeranong College; Mr Vince Ball, Executive Director, CITC; and two Indigenous Students, Brooke Hepburn-Roy, a Year 10 student from Alfred Deakin High School; and Liam Lupton, a Year 11 student from Erindale College.

Manteena is driving this initiative and is looking forward to all its employees engaging with these students and their communities on a regular basis.

It is intended to expand this initiative to other interested indigenous students and their communities at a later date.
