Systems re-certification until 2021 |
Manteena is pleased to announce it has achieved re-certification of the following Australian and International Standards: Occupational (Work) Health & Safety Management AS/NZS 4801:2001; Quality Management AS NZS ISO 9001:2015; Environmental Management AS NZS ISO 14001:2015; and Risk Management AS NZS ISO 31000:2009.
The systems which underpin Manteena’s business operations were recently subject to a successful recertification audit by International Certifications (ICL) for another 3 years. Of significance to this audit was the transitioning from the old AS NZS ISO 9001:2008 and AS NZS ISO 14001:2004 standards to the updated AS NZS ISO 9001: 2015 and AS NZS ISO 14001: 2015 standards.
Integrated Systems Manager, Robert Walters, explained that significant work was required to re-align and in some cases re-write our established systems. This process warranted the documentation achieving the requirements of the new standards, yet still maintained the functional aspect within our business operations.
“The recertification and transition process ensure the validity and strength of our systems and their ability to comply with the strict international standards and criteria. Without which Manteena would not be able to tender for federally funded works,” Robert said.
The audit clearly demonstrated the evolution and compliance of the systems, which was validated by senior management and each project team working across the company throughout the audit period.
“It’s a very encouraging result,” says Robert, “and a clear demonstration that the systems used both corporately and on-site are closely aligned to the established documented systems and the standards. This in turn has resulted in Manteena gaining recertification with ICL to the new and existing standards until 2021”.
