Gungahlin Nurse Led Walk-in Centre Handover |

Manteena is pleased to announce the project completion and handover to ACT Health of Canberra’s newest  Nurse Led Walk-in Centre at Gungahlin. The Walk-in Centre provides a vital service to the community by offering free and efficient access to treatment and health advice for one-off. minor injuries and illness—reducing the reliance on hospitals.

The centre is the new build construction of an extension to the existing Gungahlin Community Health Centre building, into an area previously identified for future expansion. It contains a front of house reception area, administration offices, 4 consult/treatment rooms, clean utility rooms and staff room.

Simon Agnello, Project Director, said the quality of works were a testament to the effort and persistence of the site team and sub-contractors to stick to the plan and work in collaboration with the end users to deliver the desired quality outcomes for ACT Health.

“We always strive to deliver our projects at handover “defect free”, Simon said.

“The whole team, understanding the importance of the commissioning and handover process, had total buy-in to the program and handed the facility over to the client with zero defects. The end result speaks for itself”.

The centre is due to open next month.
