Symonston East Edge 2 is an impressive new warm shell office base building, spanning three stories and offering over 6,000 square meters of tenant floor space. The team at Manteena was engaged through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) model, allowing them to collaborate closely with Evri Group (the developer) and Turco and Associates (the design team). The key aspects of this project include:

Project Brief and Collaboration

  • Our mission was clear: provide buildability advice and deliver the most effective design and cost outcomes.
  • The synergy between Manteena and Evri Group was pivotal. Together, we transformed what was once a potential project into a realised vision.
  • The client recognised the value of an immediate start, thanks to our collaborative efforts.

Construction and Design Highlights

  • Onsite construction commenced in July 2022.
  • The building swiftly took shape, with the structure completed by early 2023.
  • Key features included four reinforced concrete slabs, a blend of light and heavy steel roof structures and a 4th-floor plantroom and management systems.
  • Concrete precast panels were used in lifts and internal stair shafts.
  • The stunning internal atrium seamlessly connects the eastern and western tenancies, adding both style and flair.

Architectural Features

  • The curtain wall façade, custom-designed in Australia, was meticulously fabricated in Thailand.
  • Not only does it provide a fully waterproof system, but it also serves as a stunning visual expression.

Thoughtful Landscaping

  • Beyond the building’s walls, we thoughtfully landscaped the entire block.
  • The design balances physical security with an inviting atmosphere—perfect for a quick break or lunch under the trees.

In summary, Symonston East Edge 2 embodies collaboration, innovation and client satisfaction. We take immense pride in our role in bringing this remarkable project to life.
